New Experiences

So... Not doing so hot. Spain is beautiful and the people are wonderful. My old anxiety has flared up though and I have tons of time to kill so I have plenty of time to let it fester. Thought I'd distract myself a little bit by posting some images of the trip to Madrid, Cazalla de la Sierra, Cordóba and Sevilla, Spain and Sagres, Portugal.

 Madrid
I screwed up the exposure on this image but loved how it turned out anyway!

The way it was supposed to look:

Mom and Dad in the Plaza Mayor:

Cazalla de la Sierra
The church where my aunt and uncle were married, the  damage to the building right behind the top of the tree is a remnant from the Spanish Civil War and has been left for remembrance:

Sevilla
The Cathedral of Sevilla is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. It was originally a mosque that was left when the Moors were expelled from Sevilla:

The view of Sevilla from the top of the tower (formerly used for the call to prayer when it was a mosque):

Detail in the interior of the Cathedral:

 Calle in Sevilla:

Cordóba
Outside the Mezquita:

Inside the Mezquita (also a former mosque that is now a cathedral):

In a castle outside Cordóba (I forget the name...):

Sagres, Portugal
Fortaleza de Sagres:

Salamanca, Spain
First night, dinner in the Plaza Mayor with the family:

Ireland

It has taken me awhile to get it together and start posting images. Days are super action packed and it is now one in the morning... I need to get to bed. Posting these super fast and I'll write about them later!

Moving Sucks... But New Houses Are Wonderful!

I started packing up to move (well seriously) somewhere around July 20th... packed up a moving truck (GIANT) and made it to Colorado on the 29th... Since then I have helped (albeit not as much as I should/could have) move mom and dad into their new "mansion" as the little cousins called it. It is not a mansion, but there sure is a TON of space to fill and they are doing their darndest to manage it. Mom already has the kitchen full, not really sure how it all fit into the rental kitchen, which was about half the size.

Not a whole lot else to talk about, 'cept that it is GORGEOUS here and as soon as I take a picture that does it any kind of justice, I will post it. In the meantime here are a few I've taken in the last couple days:

Part of a mining car from the molybdenum mine in Climax (aka, the top of Freemont pass into Leadville):

Jade (aka schitzo, booga dog, or just the most neurotic dog you'll ever meet):

On the Road Again

So I left this week for Colorado, but before I did I took these images:

On the road, right outside Livingston....

Somewhere in Wyoming...

We made tamales and I roasted the peppers myself...
